Every shared location is password protected and cannot be accessed if both people don't know their unique ID numbers and don't provide the same password. Sharing itself is done securely over the SSL protected internet transport.

Location is not shared in real time - it's sent every couple of seconds. Locatr DOES NOT drain your battery!
