Our project name is Kuku Messenger, the decentralized messenger for smartphones. This is a brilliant symbiosis of the messenger and email client. Our aim was to create tool, which can not be banned by authorities, easy, universal, flexible messenger, with a lot of settings and with maximum control of storage by user.
On usual messengers your correspondence, photos and other private information is stored on some mystical servers in Neverland. Say, you wanted to delete it. Was it really deleted? How can you be sure? You cant see it physically. Unlike you use Kuku. Even if atomic bomb hits our office, Kuku Messenger will still work. It needs us only for updating. But in the other aspects, it’s more like people’s free messenger without an owner.
You totally control your storage. You can move it to any country. You afraid of curiosity of special services of Russia or USA? Place your server to Chili.
You don’t want some hackers or internal employee of some popular messenger to steel your correspondence and sell it on the darknet? That’s about dignity and privacy.
We have a bunch of pain here, using apps for texting.
Worldwide massive bans of messengers by governments. Ugh… Iran, Chine, Saudi Arabia and so on. For instance you live in democratic country without messengers bans. But you like to travel. And you go to the Chine, where WhatsApp, Hangouts or Telegram are prohibited. So how can you communicate with your family or friends? You cant. Unless you use our messenger. If some email server is blocked in particular country, you’ll keep all your same contacts, correspondence and interface of the app.
Let’s go on with the problems…
Massive hacks and leaks of personal data by intruders… Ugh.
Can we solve it? You don’t need to give someone your actual number for texting through Kuku. You just give them your email, which can be temporary.
Server fall, wiretap by special services. Lack of anonymity and need of authorization and obligation to use a SIM card. Incoming spam, important messages, which, on the contrary, get in spam folder…
I see the scepsis in your eyes: ugh, one more messenger.
The fact is, that you are already our user. How so? The messenger is based on email servers. So, anyone with email is our potential user. You can text, using Kuku, to your friend, who doesn’t have app. Your friend can text you through Kuku, if you don’t have our app installed. You can text only from your browser to your friend to his Kuku app. You all are already our users.
As for today, our messenger is released for Android, can send and receive texts, photos and other media files. Has avatars, usernames, group chats, black list, night mode.
Along with usual features, Kuku messenger has a lot of advanced. For instance, you can delete all your correspondence, even from server, all personal data, photos and even account in just two clicks from the app. We have embodied the scheduler for messages. Set it to congratulate your friend on his birthday, and Kuku will do it automatically. Or set it to WEEKLY remind your employs about weekly meeting at 2 pm.
Also we’ve set such a tiny nice option, as long click on the “send” button sends “Kuku” text, just to remind about yourself. Click on the name in chat, and it will disappear for screenshot. You can check it all out right now, installing Kuku Messenger for Android.
