English

A useful and fun app for parents who have children with special needs and an IEP

If you have a child with special needs, then you will use and love this free app. You can get IEP assistance and free answers to your IEP questions from a certified Special Education Advocate. You will find valuable resources such as recreational opportunities and grant opportunities. We provide legislative alerts if you wish to take action on disability issues, as well as give you very specific tools to make it easier to do so. There’s an emphasis on fun and you’ll find creative play, food and craft activities so that you can make the most of your time at home with your child.

A Day in our Shoes has something for every special needs family. It is owned and run by parents who have children with special needs. We promote inclusion, equality, fairness and acceptance and we encourage you to join us on this journey. Special needs parenting is not easy, we all need supports. You will have countless resources at your fingertips, from over 500 SDIs to possibly put in your child’s IEP to a plan to help you develop a Vision Statement for your child as part of the process and start the path to a successful transition.
